Parental Dynamics boasts being on the cutting edge of “the best interest of the child.” In keeping the best interest of the child in mind, Parental Dynamics has just opened the first of several planned Private Parenting Suites®. These Private Parenting Suites® are designed to provide on-site supervised visitation in a private, home-like environment so that parents are better able to spend quality time with their children

The Private Parenting Suites® are unlike multiple families visiting in noisy, cafeteria-style environments which are ineffective at enhancing the non-custodial parent’s ability to parent that children once they are on their own. The multi-family visitation setting is often distracting to younger children and may cause frustration to the visiting parent who needs to struggle to focus the child’s attention on him/her.

The concept of a Private Parenting Suite® was designed by Parental Dynamics to strengthen the parenting relationship with the visiting party and lessen any negative impact that supervised visits may bring upon the children. Parents are better able to parent their children with guided and directed parenting support available to them within the Private Parenting Suite®. With the reduction of distractions, visiting parents are better able to spend one-on-one time actually parenting the child.

The Private Parenting Suite® provides:

• A television with the ability to connect your own Nintendo or Play Station for staff-approved, E-rated, non-violent gaming.
• A DVD player so that you may bring appropriate, staff-approved G-rated movies to share with your child.
• A sofa for reading with your child.
• A desk suitable for assisting your child with homework or school projects.
• A table for arts-n-crafts, coloring, drawing, building blocks and other activities which are parent-child interactive.
• A home-like environment where you may share the meal or snack you bring for your child; share gifts; or enjoy the toys and games you bring. Local meal delivery services can be arranged and paid for by visiting parent. Bottled water and refrigerator are provided.
• The suite is infant-friendly and prepared for infant/toddler/child safety.
• The private and sanitary conditions of the suite are designed to lessen the risk of spreading viruses and infections among children which are more prevalent in multi-family visitation settings. Once a visit is completed, the suite is cleaned and sanitized by staff before the next visiting family arrives.
• The suite is equipped with an alarm/monitoring system which is directly connected to the local law enforcement as an additional security measure to prevent child abduction as well as victims of domestic violence.
• In cases of suspected substance abuse, Drug Test Kits and a Breathalyzer are on premises, Certified Addictions Specialist.
• There are no volunteers or trainees at Parental Dynamics. All staff members have successfully completed all of the training requirements to be supervised visitation monitors and staff must participate in continuing education on a quarterly basis. All staff members are mandated child abuse reporters and re-certified annually. All staff have been Trustline approved and are CPR/First Aid certified.
